This Senior Project Manager role involves the day-to-day operational management of the department, including developing and overseeing project-specific budgets. Key responsibilities also include staff supervision, providing performance feedback, addressing issues, and managing the hiring, orientation, training, and competency verification of employees. The position requires managing relationships with vendors and outside consultants, as well as proposing, evaluating, and implementing special projects such as new system integrations and business process re-engineering. The Senior Project Manager will direct and coordinate long-range planning and evaluation, revise and implement written procedures, and serve as a liaison to other departments for new project implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, computer science, business or a related field.
  • Five years project planning or related experience or a Master's degree with 3 years previous project planning or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day to day operations of the department.
  • Develops and manages the department's budget for specific projects and activities.
  • Supervise staff and provides on-going performance feedback and addresses problems; hires, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
  • Manages relationships with vendors and/or outside consultants.
  • Propose, evaluates, and implements special projects such as new system implementation and business process re-engineering.
  • Directs and coordinates long range planning and evaluating; revises and implements written procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison to other departments for the implementation of new projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
