For more information, visit www.grainger.com. You will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams through waterfall/agile/and hybrid project management practices. You will help the team to achieve a high level of performance and quality in the delivery of project to provide benefits to users. You will manage multiple concurrent, high visibility projects using waterfall/agile/hybrid methods in an environment that may cross multiple departments or teams. You will build on project management principles and practices to adapt project delivery approaches to provide the right balance of agility and predictability to suit goals of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience BA/BS or equivalent required
  • 5+ years Information Technology Project Management experience required
  • Experience with waterfall/agile/hybrid project management principles and practices and ability to adapt methodologies to projects
  • Experience mentoring peers or project teams in project management practices
  • Level of business/technical background to provide interface with technical project delivery teams and to evaluate project issues objectively.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage information technology projects supporting Infrastructure, Information Security, Business Systems & Operations, and Insights, Data Engineering & Analytics.
  • Support project scope and schedule development/management while focusing on delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; manage issues, and escalations; and perform delivery execution for assigned projects.
  • Oversee project management responsibilities three to five separate projects: manage project schedules based on defined scope and resource constraints; manage scope and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to gather and provide project level estimates and reporting (Status, Risks, Leadership Escalations) for teams building projects.
  • Facilitate work with multiple technical teams, departments, 3rd party vendors/partners, and other projects to achieve assigned projects' goals and deliverables.
