The Job: As a Sr. Project Engineer, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as a Hybrid employee. You’ll get to: Lead and manage a small technical team focused on battery, module, and charger development for power tools. Support New Product Development projects from a reliability perspective, including failure analysis, warranty modeling, safety assurance, and compliance adherence. Serve as an Electrical Engineering design resource for complex systems, ensuring circuit designs are reviewed, compliant, and meet reliability expectations. Establish and maintain project and milestone documentation, including test plans, status reports, and FRACAS. Utilize various data streams to assist with design decisions and make risk assessments. Lead safety reviews during the development process to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Collaborate with internal compliance teams to obtain accurate product approvals (KEMA, TUV, UL, CSA, etc.).   • Support New Product Development projects from a reliability perspective, including failure analysis, warranty modeling, safety assurance, and compliance adherence.
  • Serve as an Electrical Engineering design resource for complex systems, ensuring circuit designs are reviewed, compliant, and meet reliability expectations.
  • Establish and maintain project and milestone documentation, including test plans, status reports, and FRACAS.
  • Utilize various data streams to assist with design decisions and make risk assessments.
  • Lead safety reviews during the development process to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

  • Represent the Voice of the Customer in quality-related product development activities and respond to market complaints
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in reliability / quality / testing discipline in a new product development with electrical systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and develop a small team focused on battery, module, and charger development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with good oral, written, and presentation abilities; knowledge of reliability data tools like Weibull a plus.
  • Master's degree in Reliability or Systems Engineering, Quality, or EE is a plus.
  • Experience in lithium battery, power and control electronics, brushed and brushless motors, and software QA assurance is preferred.
  • Experience with reliability physics or physics of failure is a plus.
  • knowledge of reliability data tools like Weibull a plus.
