About The Position

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled Reliability Electrical Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise, practical experience, and soft skills that align with operational needs and strategic objectives. The candidate should have a strong understanding and use of reliability engineering tools such as RCA, Worst Actors and able to troubleshoot and optimize Electrical systems for reliability and efficiency. To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: Qualification & Experience Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. 15+ years’ experience in generation and power distribution in an Offshore or Onshore Oil & Gas facility, as it indicates familiarity with the operational challenges and best practices in such environments. Knowledge and application of the following Operation Excellence, Electrical Applications, Inventory Systems, and tools such as Management of Change (MOC), Incident Investigation, Process Book (PI), Allen Bradley Intellicenter, GE Enervista, Rockwell Drive Executive, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS (JDE). Technical Expertise Expertise on Electrical Power systems, including in MV (Diesel, Gas and Steam Turbine) Power generators, Powell MV & LV Switchgears, 13.8/4.16kV, 13.8/0.480kV & 4.16/0.480kV Transformers, 700 to 5000Hp M.V Motors, Powerflex, Siemens, Allen Bradly drives, SMC Soft starters, Protective relays (GE Multilin, SEL & E3+), MCCs, static electrical systems (UPS, Cathodic Protection), project management, design, maintenance, and reliability assurance are crucial. Analytical Skills The ability to extract and analyse data, develop technical reports (history briefs, report outs, technical presentations), understand failure modes, and make informed decisions to improve reliability is essential. This includes experience with reliability improvement initiatives, the ability to interpret performance metrics effectively, and the ability to use reliability engineering tools such as RCA, RCM, FMEA, RAM, HAZOP, etc. Safety and Compliance Knowledge of Electrical and Engineering Safety standards and regulatory requirements is critical. The engineer should be able to ensure that all Electrical designs, installations, and modifications comply with industry regulations, company standards, industry codes and standards, and best practices, e.g., NEC, CES, IEC, NEMA, NFPA, API, etc. Knowledge and application of Electrical Safe Work Practices (PI-515) are mandatory. Problem-Solving Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to address the complex challenges in a process facility. The Reliability Electrical Engineer should be able to develop innovative solutions to improve system reliability and performance. Communication and Collaboration Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential. The engineer should be able to articulate technical issues clearly and collaborate with others to implement solutions. Continuous Learning A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technological advancements in Reliability and Electrical systems is important for long-term success in the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
