About The Position

Immediate need for a Senior Level (10+ years), Program Delivery Manager to support our customer, a major Federal Healthcare Insurance organization. We are seeking a Program Manager that has a successful track record in full lifecycle of SW delivery, from inception to delivery, to support our clients initiative to launch a modernization healthcare benefits product. Experience with delivery a healthcare product is very attractive to our customer. Our client is seeking candidates that are comfortable within large/complex project tracks, and has recently managed a complex project budget (forecasting, resource planning, managing month to month variances, etc-) Some responsibilities include: - Manages end-to-end delivery of team and internal projects from the initial kickoff to coordinating major launch milestones to maintaining and enhancing program performance over time. Guides clients through key decisions, communicates and coordinates activities internally and across departments. Works on new needs for process and improvements and identifies and articulates internal client needs to the technology team. - Coordinates with internal client and internal teams to launch, maintain, and enhance complex programs. Guides internal clients through key decisions and communicates and coordinates activities internally and across network of partners. - Manages and updates Project Schedule, Issues/Action Items/Risks, Installation Checklist, and Shipping Register. - Identifies and articulates new customer needs to the technology team. - Manages all aspects of implementation including ordering applicable equipment, overseeing installation, assisting with and supporting of account creation, managing communications, and reconciling inventory upon completion. - Ensures and drives deliverables to completion per the implementation schedule. - Conducts training for customers. This position is primarily remote, however there will be onsite meetings 2-3x per month at one of our customer's locations (Wash DC, Reston VA or Columbia MD), along with a final round F2F interview in Washington DC prior to selection. To accommodate these requests, we are seeking candidates that reside in the DMV area, or West Virginia.

Requirements

  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Program Operations experience.
  • Must have a min. of 3 years of working as a Program Manager.
  • Must have full Project Management SW Delivery Lifecycle understanding/experience (from planning, to charter, to delivery).
  • Knowledge of and experience in managing full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Projects is required along with experience with direct project management and release management experience is required.
  • Must have solid understandings and hands-on expertise with complex project budget/financial project related tasks (i.e: resource planning, risk/cost management, forecasting projects, stakeholder analysis, building resource plans etc.-).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical!
  • Working with external customers, internal stake holders (tech and non-tech) along with C-Level personnel is critically important.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing a product launch effort, specifically within the healthcare insurance field, would be a big plus!
  • Previous employment experience within the Healthcare Insurance industry (Federal or Commerical) would be a big plus!
