As a Sr. Production Supervisor at nVent Management Company, your contributions will be crucial in crafting a flawless and efficient production environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation by successfully implementing Lean methodologies. Foster a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem-solving and decision-making processes, and recognize them for their outstanding contributions. Lead day-to-day production activities within the value stream(s) to ensure current commitments are met while strategically making improvements. Track daily performance using process center communication boards. Ensure a clean and orderly working environment, emphasizing the prevention of potential issues and hazardous conditions, and support nVent’s safety programs. Manage requisitioning, training, directing, appraising, and disciplining manufacturing operations employees assigned to the Production Area / Value Streams. Assist in developing and implementing current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans. Support the development and implementation of new processes and products. Develop key improvement projects and perform additional related duties as needed. Move or equivalent experience within the facility to facilitate work teams, solve problems, and communicate with employees and management. Coordinate people management areas such as performance management, time and attendance, and progressive discipline.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience (Associate’s degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • 1+ years in a leadership role.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and influence views clearly and compellingly.
  • Conflict resolution skills, including addressing differences of opinion or facts effectively.
  • Ability to work in both office and production environments, meeting physical and environmental demands.
