Capital One’s Small Business Bank is looking for an Associate who is inspired by people, process, data and technology and the endless possibilities they create. In this role you will support efforts to define, configure and optimize destination-state experiences for both our Associates and Customers. As an Associate within Small Business Lending, you will apply your strategic, analytical, and platform skills to enhance the lending experience for both internal and external customers. You’ll team with world-class professionals to develop and implement system, data, reporting, and process enhancements that ultimately impact the bottom line. This includes owning and optimizing reporting capabilities within the loan originations platform to ensure stakeholders have the insights needed to drive results. And you will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Communicator : You will be communicating and partnering with your team and key stakeholders across all levels of the company. Verbal and written communication will be critical to your day to day work life.
  • Risk Management : At Capital One, every associate has the responsibility of risk management. In this role you and your teams will be responsible for running a well-managed horizontal operation that is perpetually audit ready.
  • Intellectual Curiosity : You will need to ask why, explore underlying issues, and create unique solutions to workforce challenges. You should find motivation in understanding why problems exist and how to solve them in a fast paced, live operation environment.
  • Ability to Work with Data : You should be adept at utilizing Excel or Sheets PivotTables, functions, formulas, and conditional formatting to summarize, analyze, explore, and present summary data.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of Project Management or Process Management experience
  • At least 2 years of SaaS Platform Administration experience
  • At least 2 years of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive business outcomes
  • Support platform optimization and configuration vision and assist with requirements gathering, story writing, prioritizing, and execution in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Effectively advocate for and represent the voice of customers (internal and external) to influence organizational objectives, roadmaps and the overall customer experience
  • Ensure projects are being delivered on time and on budget within a challenging environment while simultaneously managing risk
  • Build credibility and trust within the team, with our customers and with our stakeholders
  • Apply strong communication skills to influence business decisions and inspire breakthrough results
  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track platform and process performance, and influence decision making
  • Perform regular analysis of results and subsequent drivers to identify and implement continuous improvement efforts
  • Drive transformational improvements in the customer experience / process
  • Own the end-to-end reporting suite within loan originations platform–interpreting existing reports, identifying data gaps or opportunities for new metrics, and developing custom reporting to support business goals
  • Stay current with platform enhancements to optimize reporting capabilities and ensure key stakeholders have timely, accurate, and actionable insights
