About The Position

The PMO Sr. Manager is a key member of the COO leadership team and is responsible for directing and overseeing the organization's portfolio of projects and performance. Responsible for managing budget, team leadership and cross-functional collaboration, and risk management/mitigation. We are seeking someone who is well versed in leading through influence, building relationships, gaining trust, innovating, and driving process improvements. Must be able to lead some programs as well as manage the small PMO.

Requirements

  • Strong grasp of current technologies and business challenges.
  • Proven experience in Agile/SCRUM/SAFe/Kanban environments.
  • Strong planning, organizational, leadership and execution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work across programs and projects to ensure technical excellence in support of member experience.
  • Proven experience in budget planning and resource management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective at communicating & building relationships with stakeholders and inspire/motivate staff.
  • Proven ability to promote and drive change within an organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in project management
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Manager
  • Demonstrable experience with architectural principles
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in agile project management using Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Leadership capabilities to work effectively cross-functionally and drive teams to success
  • Ability to guide teams to find solutions and solve problems in projects that delivers a win-win
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients
  • A business leader with a passion for the future of Toastmasters who demonstrates strong knowledge processing solutions, cloud strategies, digital transformation, and focused on the member experience.
  • A proactive and driven individual with the capacity to adapt to solve problems, address challenges and enable progression

Responsibilities

  • Aligns operational programs and strategies to assist the organization in meeting goals and objectives efficiently.
  • Monitors and analyzes performance metrics and summarizes operational data.
  • Approves and allocates resources based on business priorities.
  • Coordinates with leadership staff to assess and ensure performance growth.
  • Responsible for PM of some programs while leading the PMO (hands on role)
  • Develops and directs project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals.
  • Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery.
  • Develops project scope, budget, and schedules; and assures projects meet the organization's strategic objectives, performance targets, and needs.
  • Prioritizes and determines capacity for company-wide current and future projects.
  • Establishes measures to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects.
  • Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions.
  • Monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose operational improvements and/or cost savings for future projects.
  • Establishes project teams and distributes the project workload.
  • Sets and manages project expectations.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within established quality standards.
  • Delivers project updates and results to the senior leadership team, and/or project sponsors.
  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work.
  • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the organization in collaboration with members of the leadership team.
  • Supports the mission, goals, objectives, and values of the organization.
