About The Position

As the Senior Omnichannel Business Lead – Kroger, you will serve as the digital business owner and primary customer lead for one of General Mills’ most important retail partners. You will own omnichannel strategy and execution across the full General Mills portfolio, driving our eCommerce P&L, trade investment, and volume plans while operating as a senior peer to Kroger’s digital merchandising and media leadership teams. This high-impact role is based at our Kroger Sales Office in Cincinnati, OH. Candidates must either be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate; relocation assistance is available, and future career paths from this role may include opportunities in Minneapolis or other General Mills business centers as you advance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, category management, shopper/consumer insights, customer-facing account management, analytics, or trade funding.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in CPG or retail, with a strong track record in digital commerce and/or omnichannel roles.
  • Demonstrated success driving results within a major retail e-commerce ecosystem, either from the retailer side, a CPG manufacturer, or a leading agency/consulting firm.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing omnichannel strategies and translating them into impactful sales and marketing initiatives (digital shelf, search optimization, retail media, online merchandising).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data (e.g., 84.51°, Circana, digital shelf metrics, media performance) to build compelling selling stories, inform strategy, and guide decisions.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and influence, including experience coaching or mentoring others and elevating digital capability across a broader team.
  • Proven ability to lead through cross-functional collaboration, coordinating across customer, sales, marketing, shopper, supply chain, and finance partners.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments, balancing long-term strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Omnichannel Strategy & Customer Leadership
  • Develop and execute the end-to-end omnichannel sales strategy for Kroger.
  • Build and own a multi-year roadmap that aligns customer, category, and General Mills enterprise priorities across in-store and digital.
  • Serve as the digital business owner and primary omnichannel customer lead with Kroger’s digital and merchandising organizations, operating as a senior peer to digital directors and merchandising leaders and representing General Mills in key customer forums.
  • Own P&L, Investment & Performance
  • Lead digital P&L management, including trade investment and volume budgets for Kroger’s online business.
  • Partner with Finance, Revenue Management, and Brand teams to balance growth, profitability, and investment efficiency, ensuring plans are tightly integrated with overall customer and brand strategies.
  • Leverage 84.51°, digital shelf analytics, Circana, media performance, and internal data to uncover insights, build compelling selling stories, and drive a test-and-learn agenda that continuously improves digital performance.
  • Collaborate & Build Omnichannel Capability
  • Collaborate closely with the eCommerce Center of Excellence, Category Management, Brand, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Finance, and Shopper/Customer Marketing teams to deliver cohesive omni plans.
  • Partner with Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM), 84.51°, and Kroger’s digital merchandising teams to align content, media, and activation across the digital shelf.
  • Lead a small, high-caliber team, coaching and elevating digital capability across the Kroger team and shaping the future-state digital team structure as the business grows.
  • Drive Growth, Culture & Ways of Working
  • Increase digital share, penetration, and category growth within the Kroger digital channel, ensuring full-portfolio coverage and clear connection to category and brand priorities.
  • Champion omnichannel excellence by connecting in-store and online to deliver a unified experience for consumers.
  • Model a team-first mindset, operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong bias for execution, and build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders to influence and deliver results.
