Under the general direction of the Director, School Relations and Dental Assistant Programs, the Senior Manager of School Relations leads the strategy, operations, and team responsible for building strong partnerships with dental assisting and dental hygiene programs nationwide. This role drives attraction efforts for Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Hygienist talent, strengthens the organization’s presence within the industry, and supports long-term workforce planning aligned with organizational goals. The Senior Manager ensures that academic outreach efforts support recruiting needs, elevate brand visibility, and sustain a strong pipeline of DA and RDH candidates. This role also oversees a team that manages relationships with academic partners, maintains alignment with clinical and regulatory standards, and represents the organization at campus events, professional meetings, and industry conferences. The individual must have working clinical knowledge of EPIC, CBCT, and MBC and be comfortable facilitating presentations in both academic and professional settings.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in healthcare, Business, Education, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in training, education, or academic program leadership
  • Track record of performance and delivery of curriculum development.
  • Experience managing diverse and remote workforce.
  • Experience managing teams and working across multiple states or regions.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills; capable of representing the organization at academic and industry events.
  • Advanced clinical understanding of EPIC, CBCT, and MBC to support facilitation, presentations, and professional discussions.
  • Demonstrated success leading academic outreach efforts with a focus on strengthening partnerships and meeting recruitment goals.
  • Skilled in overseeing day-to-day department operations while setting and driving short to mid-term goals.
  • Fostering team member development by providing a supportive learning environment.
  • Highly developed teambuilding, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to direct the work of others and work as a team leader in attainment of goals.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentiality with employee records, compensation information, etc.

Responsibilities

  • School Relations
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the School Relations team, ensuring strong national outreach across DA and RDH programs.
  • Build and sustain meaningful partnerships with DA and RDH programs, faculty, and administrators.
  • Develop and implement national strategies to attract and engage DA and RDH talent.
  • Increase brand visibility by delivering educational presentations and participating in campus events and industry conferences.
  • Manage school visit planning and delivering educational presentations that support students, faculty, and administrators.
  • Oversee school engagement activities to ensure they meet clinical and regulatory expectations.
  • Partner with Recruiting, Learning & Training, and the PDS Health Foundation, and other internal teams to support talent needs and meet clinical workforce goals.
  • Promote a consistent, high-quality brand presence in all academic and industry engagements.
  • Develop and maintain student- and educator-facing clinical education content related to EPIC, CBCT, and MBC for use in presentations, training programs, and instructional materials.
  • Facilitate student- and educator-facing educational presentations, trainings, and discussions using EPIC, CBCT, and MBC content across internal teams and external partners.
  • Train, coach, and support others to effectively facilitate and deliver student- and educator-facing clinical education content, ensuring consistency and quality across programs.
  • DA Programs
  • Provide leadership in shaping Dental Assistant programs and operational standards to ensure alignment with organizational goals and workforce needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally as the Dental Assistant SME to provide guidance, insight, and recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Strengthening awareness of PDS Health as an employer of choice by clearly articulating Dental Assistant career pathways and professional growth opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives that reinforce PDS Health culture, engagement, and professional identity among Dental Assistants nationwide.
  • Grow and evolve the Dental Assistant externship program by developing and managing partnerships with contracted dental assisting programs across regions.
