Job Summary Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the areas of the Supply Chain organization focused in Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning. Develops and provides leadership to institutionalize the NORDAM Business System (NBS) processes in accordance with organization goals and objectives across division. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Establishes organizational objectives. Accomplishes results through subordinate supervisors or through experienced exempt and nonexempt staff, as well as hands-on in Master Planning, data analysis and SIOP processes. Performs typical responsibilities of management requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and coaching. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting business goal objectives. Translate demand requirements and supply capability into a time-phased aggregate supply and inventory plan in monthly resolution over the SIOP horizon (3-24 Month). Perform resource requirements planning for the program aggregate plans for the mid and long-term horizon. Identify and execute actions necessary to correct capacity problems. Develop scenarios and recommendations to deal with capacity constraints. Develops and updates policies and procedures for raw materials, purchased parts, fabricated parts, components, and other items as directed ensuring standardized procedures to drive best in class Inventory management capability and best in class Inventory levels. Ensures company and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and procedures are followed regarding planning along with other regulatory and/or customer requirements. Leader and point of contact role for SIOP processes, procedures and systems implementations for assigned programs and businesses. Conducts analysis to develop processes and metrics to drive optimal inventory levels across the division while ensuring Customer OTD / Support levels are achieved. Reports on progress and performance of processes and metrics as directed. Establishes best inventory management practices across the business units, reports to the executive level relative to inventory performance and progress to plan. Acts as an advisor to leaders in each of the business units to ensure best practices are in place and there are effective inventory control measures in place. Establishes slow moving/obsolete inventory plans in coordination with the business units for most effective disposition (i.e. sale, scrap, etc.). Implements planning thru a statistical or custom planning book within SAP/APO which aligns with the consensus demand and SIOP process. Responsible for all procedures relative to the planning process. Identifies organizational gaps and makes recommendations to executive leadership as it relates to staffing the SIOP process across the business unit. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
