About The Position

Deliver the agreed upon go forward Quality Strategy Plan. Develops strong processes to aid in consistent delivery of elevated product quality in conjunction with Wells and contracted customer needs. Works collectively with Manufacturing, Quality, SC Quality, and Food Safety group to ensure facilities producing product for WEI and our customers, are able to consistently deliver safe product made to our quality standards. Partners with leadership throughout the factory to build and execute quality and food safety plans consistently across the network. Review, update and/or develop consistent QFSE and plant procedures for the network. Partners with corporate engineering and factory engineering to ensure food safety and safety risks are mitigated throughout engineering projects within a facility. Works collectively with site Sr. Leadership team to build development programs for employees and leadership team, driving quality and food safety culture, while at the same time driving productivity and CI mindsets. Develops strong internal processes with internal and external customers focused on driving and elevating product quality. Assists in developing realistic product specifications based on process capability and consistent delivery of product quality. Applies strong knowledge of Food Safety and Quality expectations. Including but not limited to WEI Quality/Food Safety expectations, SQF Code or other GFSI certification body, and FSMA requirements. This includes QA, manufacturing, food safety, Food defense, food fraud, and relevant regulations. Uses Continuous Improvement tools to improve process, evaluate process capability and perform and / or facilitate root cause analyses that aid in the development of robust corrective and preventative actions. Collaborates with Quality Assurance leadership to execute on action plans and recommendations on major quality and food safety concerns. Understands Sensory evaluation and performs evaluations on and manufactured products. Ensure all Wells manufacturing sites utilize a standardized sensory model to evaluate all product quality. Reviews relevant customer and consumer complaint information, identify trends, help root cause and develop reports and based on manufacturing, supplier, and other customer data. Works directly with R&D and factories to support and qualify new products as needed. Able to conduct quality projects on behalf the factory, engineering, or R&D. May require manufacturing audits at various facilities to determine the adequacy of programs, procedures, and building structures to assure WEI produces and receives quality products. Responsibilities
