The Manager Pipeline Control Sr is responsible for the operational discipline and the safety of all controllers in their area. You will have a broad area of responsibility of assets and commodities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 10 years Pipeline Control or relevant industry experience
  • Highly skilled in organization and interpersonal communication, prioritizing safety above all
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills, enhancing efficiency in pipeline operations
  • Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
  • May be required to work overtime

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Process Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field and a minimum of 15 years Pipeline Control or relevant industry experience
  • Leadership experience with a background in gas scheduling and/or Department of Transportation (DOT) Operation Qualification
  • Advanced knowledge of field and/or plant experience within oil and gas industry

Responsibilities

  • Supervises team responsible for safely moving product across a vast infrastructure of pipelines while performing all work in accordance with requirements, standards, policies, procedures and processes
  • Oversees maintenance coordination on system and outage scheduling
  • Supports daily operations to improve control room effectiveness and defines operating conditions; coordinates with partners to ensure customer needs are met
  • Maintains the integrity of data and systems
  • Integral member of the Pipeline Control Leadership team, managing significant segments of operations (4 or more consoles) and providing dedicated 24/7 support, demonstrating a high level of responsibility, influence, and commitment
  • Actively promotes and implements optimization strategies for efficient and safe pipeline usage, while developing and maintaining strong relationships with key commercial collaborators and customers
  • Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for team
  • Manages Western Interstates Pipeline Control team responsible for the safe operation of interstate pipelines.
  • Complete execution of plan to integrate former Northwest Pipe/MountainWest teams to form an integrated Western Interstates control room team and associated consoles.
  • Other duties as assigned
