About The Position

Reworld™ is seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to develop and execute strategic external communication initiatives that enhance our corporate reputation, support business objectives, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. This role requires deep B2B communications expertise and a proven track record of managing external agencies to drive impactful programs across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with excellent writing skills that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building and safeguarding brand reputation. This position will manage media relations, agency partnerships, public relations initiatives, and crisis communications. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills who can manage multiple projects independently, while providing input and counsel with the mindset of achieving the most impactful initiatives for the company. This role will also assist on internal communications projects, as needed. The salary range for this job location is $130,000- $150,000. Work Location: Florham Park, NJ Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule in office (3 days in office 2 days from home)

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in B2B environment or public relations agency.
  • Proven track record of managing PR agencies to drive measurable impact.
  • Strong media relations experience, with established relationships in business, trade, and financial press.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Experience in crisis communications, reputation management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions, including Sustainability, Government Relations, Community, Investor Relations, Marketing, Legal, and Operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related roles, focusing on media management and crisis communication.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing integrated communication campaigns and managing media relations.
  • Experience within the waste industry a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate challenges, and develop proactive solutions.
  • Experience in sustainability, waste management or environmental industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ESG communications and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Background in government affairs or policy communications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • B2B Communications Lead B2B communication efforts, ensuring consistent messaging for customers, investors, policymakers, and industry partners.
  • Craft compelling thought leadership content, including executive speeches, op-eds, and industry insights.
  • Partner internally with Government Relations, Sustainability, Community and Legal teams.
  • Media Relations & Agency Management Serve as company spokesperson, who will drive strategic earned media efforts and corporate storytelling.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business, trade, and financial media to enhance Reworld visibility.
  • Oversee relationship with PR agency.
  • Provide direction, feedback, and guidance to agency partner to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative partnership between internal teams and external agency to drive seamless execution of communications initiatives.
  • Partner with PR agency and legal to evolve/execute crisis communication plans and support issues management.
  • Public Company & Financial Communications Collaborate with Investor Relations to support earnings communications, annual reports, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Ensure clear and compliant messaging for investors, analysts, and financial media.
  • Monitor industry and market trends to proactively shape messaging and response strategies.
  • Internal Communications Assist with internal communications initiatives, meetings, trade shows and conferences as necessary.
