About The Position
A busy valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, PA is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to join their team. The company manufactures Valves, Fittings and Related Products. This person will work with the engineering team to manage product design, development, cost and manufacturability. This position will design and implement new product development and improvements to existing products.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years' experience as mechanical/design engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process of Valves, Fittings and Related Products by employing product design best practices.
- Review and approve product designs created by others for manufacturability or completeness
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
- Determine root causes of failures and recommends changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
- Update and create new 3D models and drawing from paper and AutoCAD, using SolidWorks.
