Position Summary: The Sr. Marketing Manager - Retail is responsible for driving performance, profitability, and brand presence across major home improvement and retail accounts. This role focuses on category management, pricing strategy, promotions, planogram optimization, and business analytics. The incumbent will combine strong analytical acumen, market insight, and retail marketing expertise to influence assortment, merchandising, and pricing strategies that grow share and margin. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in channel, retail, or consumer marketing.
  • In-depth knowledge of current marketing technologies and techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive creativity and innovation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products

Responsibilities

  • Lead the go-to-market and category strategies for key retail and home improvement partners (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to develop channel-specific growth plans, launch strategies, and promotional calendars.
  • Align internal stakeholders on channel priorities, customer requirements, and category trends.
  • Develop and manage promotional strategies and pricing structure by retailer and product line.
  • Analyze sell-through and promotional ROI to guide future investments.
  • Support line reviews with compelling data and insights that strengthen price positioning and value perception.
  • Partner with retailer merchants and internal teams to optimize shelf placement, planograms, and packaging strategy
  • Use data-driven insights and shopper behavior trends to improve category flow and in-store visibility.
  • Ensure product assortments and displays align with brand positioning and customer needs.
  • Own channel reporting for POS performance, pricing, promotions, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for marketing, sales, and product teams.
  • Develop dashboards and scorecards that measure channel health and profitability.
  • Lead line review preparation and presentation with retail partners.
  • Build fact-based selling stories grounded in market data, consumer insights, and performance analytics.
  • Maintain a clear view of competitor activity, pricing, and category trends within home improvement and retail.
