The Sr Manager Technical Services is a senior-level manager who proactively collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, optimize processes, and drive innovation in manufacturing. This role will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects of our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $112,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Compensation and range may vary by location. Final base pay is determined based on job-related factors such as work location, skills, experience, education, and training, consistent with applicable state and local laws. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include incentive compensation, commissions (if applicable), discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and company-sponsored benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Develops intermediate understanding of people management practices and managing small teams of direct reports.
  • Emerging understanding of broader organizational context and goals.
  • Able to delegate work effectively to team members; ensures tasks are completed without micromanaging.
  • Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Technical Services team, including engineers, technicians, and specialists, to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems to track and monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, and root cause analysis, to drive operational excellence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, providing guidance and support to Production teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to introduce new products, processes, and technologies into manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements, implementing measures to prevent accidents and minimize environmental impact.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
