Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Senior Manager Product/Process Engineering, located in Jacksonville, FL The Senior Manager Product/Process Engineering will be an integral member of the Jacksonville Manufacturing Engineering Leadership Team which supports the growth of base business, new product delivery & sustainability, process capability, and equipment technologies. The Senior Manager Product/Process Engineering is additionally responsible for strategy development through implementation to achieve process standardization with the Limerick, Ireland site. The candidate will possess an ability to work horizontally and vertically with technical peers, collaborators, enabling strong business results. The Product/Process Engineering Senior Manager will possess a strong technical understanding of process engineering. Will deliver technical solutions by coordinating talent and implementing standard methodologies in structured problem solving, engineering & technology by engaging, inspiring, empowering and mentoring the team. The candidate must have a proven track record of leading highly trained engineering professionals and developing future leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with 3 years of demonstrated ability leading and developing engineers and technicians is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Consistent track record translating engineering goals and objectives into successful strategies that lead to tactical plans and results is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience working within medical device or FDA regulated environment is preferred.
  • International collaboration experience is preferred.
  • Technical understanding of process engineering with experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently lead a diverse and experienced team of product & process engineers to meet site goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for all technical and professional talent development for the team while ensuring the skills and capabilities are effectively leveraged.
  • Leads and mentors the engineering team in structured problem-solving for products, equipment, systems, and processes to support manufacturing.
  • Uses methodical and statistically sound approaches in solving sophisticated problems to demonstrate resolution and effectiveness.
  • Evaluates and implements improved performance, management, and tracking methods to supervise and control timelines and costs to achieve project completion on time and under budget.
  • Collaborates with Make Engineering, Operations, Quality, R&D, and other key functional areas to build alignment to achieve business objectives.
