THE ROLE The Senior Manager, LA28 Partner Relations role will be a crucial utility and team player on the On Location LA28 Stakeholder team, which develops, manages, and services LA28 sponsorship partners across all levels of On Location product. This role will primarily be responsible supporting the LA28 Partner Relations as the work through partners plans and needs for the upcoming LA28 Olympic Games. This position will work in tandem with and in support of the Stakeholder team leads and other Partner Relations Account leads and team -- including but not limited to sales, marketing, legal, and operations (program management) -- to meet and exceed partner expectations as well as create effective & efficient processes and a positive & productive working environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Development, Account Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in a management position (minimum of 5+ years), preferably in a B2B role or within the travel and hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Airtable, Keynote (Apple), Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and Adobe (particularly InDesign and Photoshop)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or knowledge of International, Olympic, World Cup, and/or major sporting events as well as the Travel & Hospitality industry a plus
  • Experience with building and maintaining client relationships and managing complex corporate accounts
  • Experience with B2B, corporate groups, and/or high-touch guest services, experience execution and/or event operations

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in LA28 products, sales processes, technology platforms, marketing and sales collateral, and functional areas (departments) structure
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with all functional areas / workstreams, including and especially content, marketing, sales operations, systems integration and technology
  • Strong focus on proactive, timely, and detail oriented reporting of sales efforts through a series of reporting structures (including but not limited to Salesforce and Airtable)
  • Maintain working knowledge in the following areas: LA28 Partnership Roster All LA28 products available for stakeholder purchase Timelines and rollouts for all LA28 milestone dates Competition venue locations and event schedules
  • Support team leads in managing and trafficking the contracting process, including negotiations, escalations, and approvals/signatures
  • Interface with internal finance teams to manage accounting processes to ensure that clients needs are met in a timely manner while protecting On Locations interests
  • Maintain client records in the CRM/database (Salesforce) and inventory management systems
  • Analyze and review financials relating to post-event sales, event expenses, payments, reconciliations, client reporting, and general ledger allocations
  • Ensure a continued understanding and appreciation of the wider business objectives of On Location and the client
  • Execute all other duties assigned by the team or leadership, including some discretionary administrative work such as setting group meetings, meeting note taking, senior team leader expense report submission, occasional administrative projects like reports or spreadsheet creation
  • To partner with team leaders in developing and maintaining relationships with LA28 Stakeholder clients, often from the onboarding stage, with the goal of driving sales long-term across all LA28 first and foremost, but also across On Location properties. This includes regular client calls, presentations, and emails.
  • Work to identify the unique hospitality requirements of each partner, cultivate the relationship and champion their needs to grow revenue opportunities and design the most optimal product and program solutions depending on partner / client business objectives
  • Support the Partner Relations team in creating necessary content to further their sales and client management objectives, including stakeholder communications, guides, newsletters, etc.
  • Manage the process of authoring and editing proposal materials, assembling RFI/RFP responses and presentation decks, and submitting necessary documents into client portals
  • Research, gather, organize, author, and edit other written materials, including executive summaries, case studies, and conclusion
  • Maintain the collection, input, and documentation of event Stakeholder summary information (e.g., client preferences and nuances)
  • Onsite attendance at events and client meetings/site visits as required
  • Team duties: one-on-one, performance management, team development, staff training, reinforcement of & accountability for processes, etc.
  • Develop, document, and implement specific procedures, systems, and operational efficiencies
  • Conduct and/or participate in Team meetings, as needed
  • Provide leadership / feedback on process development / improvement during meetings
  • Conduct process review / improvement meetings regularly
  • Provide input on performance reviews, bonuses, and merit increases
  • Monthly expense and/or event budget reconciliations, as needed
  • Foster an environment for participation and engagement from the B2B team and other workstreams
  • Maintain a customer-first approach by looking at the entire event ecosystem through the lens of the customer journey
