Senior Manager Metrics and Reporting Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction. This Senior Manager Metrics and Reporting role is part of the Infrastructure and Enterprise Engineering team which sits within our Technology division. Infrastructure and Enterprise Engineering builds and operates Expedia Group’s foundational cloud and on‑premise infrastructure, integrates and administers enterprise SaaS platforms, and connects applications, data, identity, and platforms to deliver secure, reliable, end‑to‑end technology outcomes across the company. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of clear, consistent metrics and reporting that make the health, performance, and business impact of our infrastructure platforms visible, enabling data‑driven decisions that improve reliability, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused roles.
  • Substantial experience leading metrics, reporting, or business intelligence functions, including end-to-end ownership of multi-team or multi-domain reporting solutions.
  • Proven track record building and operating robust data pipelines, semantic layers, and reporting structures that support consistent metric definitions and high data quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders to define metric strategies, prioritize reporting roadmaps, and deliver solutions that directly support business and product decision-making.
  • Strong experience with modern analytics and visualization tools and foundational understanding of data modeling, querying, and system design for reporting and metrics platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and governing enterprise-wide metric frameworks, including standardized KPIs, hierarchies, and taxonomies adopted across multiple organizations or business units.
  • Proven success leading metrics and reporting programs at scale, including performance optimization, reliability, and operational excellence for high-volume, business-critical dashboards and data products.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply advanced analytical methods, experimentation, or AI/ML‑driven insights to improve forecasting, performance measurement, or automated reporting workflows.
  • Experience defining technical strategy and architecture for metrics and reporting platforms, partnering with data engineering and platform teams to evolve tooling, data models, and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, such as launching new dashboards, metric frameworks, or reporting capabilities and driving broad stakeholder engagement and usage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights for technology and business stakeholders.
  • Own the definition, governance, and standardization of core performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and consistent usage across teams and domains.
  • Partner with product, technology, finance, and operations leaders to understand decision-making needs and translate them into scalable data models, reporting frameworks, and analytical solutions.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing metrics and reporting team, setting clear priorities, managing execution, and fostering a culture of data quality, transparency, and operational excellence.
  • Drive adoption and effective usage of reporting tools, self-service analytics capabilities, and data literacy programs so stakeholders can independently access and interpret high-quality data.
  • Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
