The Sr. Manager, Molding & Tooling Engineering leads strategic and technical initiatives related to injection molding processes, mold/tooling design, and manufacturing optimization. This role ensures tooling solutions are innovative, cost-effective, scalable, and meet performance and quality standards. The Sr. Manager, Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement across global operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning - Develop and execute long-term strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.
  • Oversee Mold Design & Fabrication - Manage internal and external resources for mold design, build, and validation.
  • Drive Process Optimization - Improve molding processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) - Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling readiness for new products.
  • Manage Tooling Lifecycle - Oversee maintenance, refurbishment, and replacement planning for molds and tooling assets.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management - Evaluate and manage tooling suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure Compliance & Safety - Maintain adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
  • Budget & Cost Control - Develop and manage budgets for overhead and capital expenditures.
  • Team Leadership & Development - Lead and mentor junior management, a team of engineers and technicians, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support - Provide expert guidance on molding and tooling issues impacting production. Possesses sound understanding of Scientific Molding Principles.
