The Sr. Manager, Molding & Tooling Engineering leads strategic and technical initiatives related to injection molding processes, mold/tooling design, and manufacturing optimization. This role ensures tooling solutions are innovative, cost-effective, scalable, and meet performance and quality standards. The Sr. Manager, Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement across global operations. In this role, a typical day will include: Strategic Planning – Develop and execute long-term strategies aligned with manufacturing goals. Oversee Mold Design & Fabrication – Manage internal and external resources for mold design, build, and validation. Drive Process Optimization – Improve molding processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) – Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling readiness for new products. Manage Tooling Lifecycle – Oversee maintenance, refurbishment, and replacement planning for molds and tooling assets. Vendor & Supplier Management – Evaluate and manage tooling suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance. Ensure Compliance & Safety – Maintain adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems. Budget & Cost Control – Develop and manage budgets for overhead and capital expenditures. Team Leadership & Development – Lead and mentor junior management, a team of engineers and technicians, fostering technical growth and collaboration. Troubleshooting & Technical Support – Provide expert guidance on molding and tooling issues impacting production. Possesses sound understanding of Scientific Molding Principles.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
7 Years of Relevant Experience
5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
