What you Will Do The Tactical Radars and Effectors Department within the Raytheon Hardware Engineering Team is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Section Lead to support effector programs within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) strategic business unit. The role is expected to be onsite and based in Tucson, AZ. The job responsibilities of this Section Leader position include managing and mentoring engineers LADS programs. The section leader will guide a section of 10-15 engineers. This includes hiring, staffing, performance evaluations, mentoring/coaching, expense reports and timecard approvals. The section leader is also expected to support the programs directly in a technical leadership role. The Section Lead will team with the Department Lead in the execution of Hardware Engineering and Raytheon Engineering goals. As the section lead, you will lead a diverse team of engineers by providing highly skilled multi-disciple engineering services across all program phases focused on the development, design, deployment, and operational systems for use in US Government and Foreign Military applications. The Section Lead will be responsible for leadership and mentoring of the team in proposal activities, program startup, and execution. We value diverse skills and experience, so don’t hold back.
