Lead and drive change across team by planning and executing business strategies, process improvement, program management, quality improvement and transformation initiatives to maximize the effectiveness and productivity across assigned team. Continue to improve aspects of the day-to-day operations, increase efficiencies through automation and streamline, ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, and ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and followed. Oversee and manage consumer loans throughout the loan servicing lifecycle. Essential Responsibilities Plan, evaluate, and execute the functional strategy to maximize effectiveness and productivity. Drive a performance-based team by providing, monitoring and tracking effective production statistics on a consistent basis Provide consistent and effective reporting that communicates current credit loss conditions, forecasts and financial plan Partner with internal resources to support the development of analytical tools, systems and processes to specifically improve the effectiveness of the loss prevention efforts. Manage and optimize collection software and partner to drive automation and efficiencies Manage policies, processes and procedures that minimize credit loss, maximize recovery, and minimize risks, protecting the assets of the credit union, and comply with regulatory, legal and internal controls requirements. Identify and assess process gaps, create framework and document procedures Partner with other teams for recommendation and resolutions on loan modification requests within the credit committee review process Resolve collections complaints from parties such as Credit Bureau, Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, and BBB. Collaborate with legal team to manage outside attorneys and governmental agencies regarding account litigation Oversee department budget, operational planning process and execution of initiatives - identify opportunities to reduce operating expenses and/or explore new cost-effective partnerships Cooperate with state, federal and internal examiners and/or auditors in routine credit union examinations and audits. Conduct quarterly asset disposal and/or vendor audits to ensure GLBA requirements. Manage 3rd party vendors and vendor relationships to ensure effective performance and risk management Provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction to the following but not limited to post-closing - loan documents, titles, recorded liens and title perfection, monitoring auto insurance (CPI), ancillary products, payoffs, releases, financial reporting, member service, insurance drafts, rate/payment adjustments and credit reporting process and corrections Manage multiple projects and be responsible for full life cycle project management including project definition and management, definition of work assignments and coordination with internal partners, and substantiation of cost through effective cost-benefit analysis. Manage supporting documentation and schedules, measure and monitor goal progress and update management levels Plan, oversee and lead the work of the team to meet functional and individual operational objectives and goals. Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. Responsible for hire, fire, performance, discipline and problem-resolution decisions
