About The Position

Based in our Santa Monica, Pen Factory office, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative environment at the intersection of culture, creativity, and innovation. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how Activision connects with global player communities, both inside and outside the organization, while working alongside some of the most influential teams in gaming. As the Senior Manager, Inclusive Growth & Community Innovation, you will be a strategic partner across Activision, helping teams better understand how culture, representation, accessibility, and global perspectives shape the player experience. You will translate cultural insights and player research into actionable opportunities that drive innovation in gameplay, storytelling, and audience engagement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Inclusive Growth, Director of Inclusive Game Design, and cross-functional partners across studios, marketing, analytics, and player experience teams. You will help scale how Inclusive Growth shows up across the business ensuring teams are equipped with the frameworks, insights, and partnerships needed to build culturally relevant, globally resonant experiences. Success in your first year will include establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to creative and business teams, driving measurable impact on player engagement and audience expansion, and advancing key initiatives such as community partnerships, inclusive design integration, and internal learning programs. This role is based in our Santa Monica, CA office and follows an onsite work schedule of four days per week. Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, brand innovation, community engagement, or culture-driven roles within gaming, entertainment, or media
  • Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, analytics, and business stakeholders
  • Proven track record of translating insights (consumer, cultural, or player) into actionable strategies or programs
  • Strong understanding of gaming culture and global player audiences
  • Ability to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strategic thinker with a strong consulting mindset
  • Highly collaborative and able to influence without authority
  • Adaptable and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments

Responsibilities

  • Partner with studio, marketing, and player insights teams to translate cultural insights into innovative player experiences that enhance engagement and global resonance
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to game and content teams, guiding how representation, culture, and accessibility inform creative direction
  • Collaborate with Inclusive Game Design leadership to identify opportunities where inclusive design unlocks innovation in gameplay, storytelling, and systems
  • Build and activate partnerships with culturally relevant brands, creators, and organizations to expand audience reach in authentic ways
  • Develop and manage community partnerships that support the next generation of gamers and creators, including curated experiences and learning opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives (e.g., Level Up Labs, brand partnerships, community programs) that connect Inclusive Growth to business outcomes
  • Create frameworks and tools that help teams evaluate cultural authenticity, representation, and player resonance in their work
  • Drive internal programs such as the Press Pause series, shaping conversations that deepen employee understanding of evolving player communities
  • Partner with Communications to amplify Inclusive Growth through storytelling and thought leadership across the organization
  • Track and measure the impact of Inclusive Growth initiatives, building systems to monitor progress, outcomes, and business value
