Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Sr Mgr, Service Innovation will play an essential role in supporting the Service, R&D, manufacturing teams. This position involves establishing collaboration between R&D, Service Innovation, Manufacturing and other multi-functional product development teams to improve the serviceability, performance and reliability of the robotic medical platforms. You will be developing innovative solutions that address Design for Serviceability and optimizing mechanisms that support the Service business. Requirements

  • Typically requires an engineering related degree (e.g. Mechanical, electrical or Biomedical). Bachelor’s degree with 15 years or Master’s degree with 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience in people leadership with track records of delivering results though leading others.
  • Experienced with working in a development environment, understanding of the product creation processes and the technical principles of applicable systems/components.
  • Experience leading multi-functional management meetings and management updates.
  • Standout leader with good interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
  • Proven partnership qualities and experience working collaboratively with different team members from all levels and functions in the organization.
  • Experience in DfX, designing for Serviceability, lean methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • R&D experience, SW affinity/experience if not the major specialization.
  • Project management skills and experience (planning, monitoring, execution, etc.)
  • Previous experience in the medical devices industry, basic knowledge of working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead of a team consisting of Service Innovation team members representing different Service areas focusing on the realization of the Service Innovation project plan.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary service innovation change projects, manage cross-functional project/study teams.
  • Incorporate the Design for Serviceability concepts in the product design process.
  • Contribute to the vision of the Service business by providing inputs to the Service product roadmap.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive serviceability requirements strategy to ensure products are designed for easy maintenance and support, addressing both hardware and software needs effectively.
  • Oversee the strategic development and continuous improvement of comprehensive service documentation frameworks for product upgrades and updates, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices while driving initiatives to gather and integrate user feedback for enhanced usability and effectiveness.
  • Influence the organization and lead recommendations to implement innovative digital solutions and predictive maintenance tools that enhance serviceability by enabling real-time monitoring and efficient maintenance practices.
  • Continuously enhance the robotics platform and develop new service solutions by integrating groundbreaking technologies and collaborating with different stakeholders to meet real-world needs and market demands.
