About The Position

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering, with experience in the defense/aerospace industry, to join our team. The role is responsible for engineering management, engineering work in operations and/or production, or maintenance environments. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. We are committed to supporting the mission of the warfighter. We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.

Requirements

• Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred (Engineering) or equivalent combination of relevent education & experience
• 5- 7 years of experience
• Leadership skills, ability to foster teamwork
• Oral and written communication skills
• Technical expertise

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems as well as improving and maintaining current systems or creating brand new projects
• Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment
• Recommends operational plans with direct impact on results
• Requires communication with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance, i.e constructing and presenting status briefings on technical challenges
• Works with third party resources, site leadership and other necessary departments to bring comprehensive solutions for operations, production, or maintenance issues related to local production or test failures
