About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SENIOR IT & CLOUD OPERATIONS ANALYST IN OUR ATLANTA OFFICE The Sr. Analyst, IT ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of ScottMadden's technology environment. This hands-on role supports daily operations across cloud infrastructure, endpoint and identity management, automation, and collaboration systems, with minimal on-premises infrastructure. The position emphasizes automation, proactive cloud administration, and service reliability across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. The Sr. Analyst also helps expand and mature the firm’s Azure capability—supporting administration, cost management, and pilot efforts in analytics, storage, and AI services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in IT operations or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, ITSM, and endpoint management.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT automation using PowerShell, Power Automate, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future, as ScottMadden does not provide visa sponsorship.

  • Desire to expand technical expertise in Azure services, including governance, analytics, and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and triage the firm's ITSM to ensure timely resolution of service requests and incidents, escalating to the firm's MSP as appropriate.
  • Track recurring issues to identify patterns, improve processes, and support automation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows between NinjaOne and Microsoft 365/Azure environments to streamline provisioning, reporting, governance and escalation processes.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID to manage identity and access across the environment.
  • Manage Intune to maintain compliance, patching (including third-party applications and drivers), and overall device health.
  • Enforce configuration standards and compliance baselines through automated policy enforcement, ensuring consistent and accurate device inventory across all systems.
  • Manage Azure and on-premise (edge) network infrastructure in alignment with firm governance standards, maintaining secure access control while monitoring performance, usage, and cost for efficient operations.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration using scripting tools such as PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Ensure all infrastructure activities comply with firm security and governance standards, maintaining evidence to support SOC 2 controls.
  • Partner with business teams to design and manage secure Azure-based automations and services supporting operational efficiency and integrations.
  • Support IT process automation initiatives across Microsoft 365, Azure, and NinjaOne to reduce manual effort and increase consistency.
  • Maintain accurate and version-controlled documentation of automations, procedures, and runbooks within firm repositories.
  • Ensure automations align with firm security and access standards to protect data and maintain integrity.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding to ensure accounts, devices, and access are provisioned or deactivated accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and continually enhance automation for account setup, device preparation, and deprovisioning workflows through Intune, Entra ID, and ITSM integrations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and auditability.
  • Manage and support Microsoft Teams Rooms, including Logitech Tap systems, to ensure stable and reliable meeting experiences across all offices.
  • Manage monitoring and firmware updates for Teams Rooms and related peripherals.
  • Manage and optimize Azure services, including resource groups, policies, cost management, and monitoring.
  • Support evaluation and pilot of Azure services related to analytics, AI, and automation.
  • Stay current with emerging Microsoft cloud capabilities and contribute to discussions on innovation planning.
  • Pursue relevant Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104 or AZ-305) to build deeper platform expertise.
