About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. This role involves creating innovative data solutions using Industrial Engineering (IE) knowledge to continually improve strategic forecasts. The position requires evaluating what-if scenarios, designing experiments to identify root causes, analyzing internal and external data to suggest planning changes, and developing methods for testing, tracking, and measuring data. The individual will drive action through effective data and clear communication, complete all required safety training, and adhere to company safety policies. Key responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders (TPG Operations, budget teams, Process and Equipment Development, Finance and Procurement teams) to build enhanced budget analytics, providing regular status updates to TPG Leadership, presenting budgets P2P and outputs, and recommending improvements to data analytics and front-end summaries for decision-making. The role also involves designing and coordinating projects across departments, creating timelines with milestones for complex tasks, minimizing duplication through effective planning, and adjusting plans based on execution and capabilities. Part-time telecommuting may be an option.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
  • Database management methods and techniques
  • Data-related tools or data science including SQL, python
  • Visualization tools, including Tableau
  • Data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing
  • Process improvement and project management skills to collaborate and share data with engineering and executives

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative data solutions using Industrial Engineering (IE) knowledge to continually improve the strategic forecast
  • Evaluate what-if scenarios representing changes to metrics and partner with engineering to understand the impact of the changes
  • Use experience and observations to design experiments to get to the root cause on issues
  • Analyze and interpret internal and external data sources to suggest planning changes
  • Incorporate experience and observations to design experiments to determine necessary area changes
  • Develop methods for testing and tracking and measuring data
  • Drive action through effective data and clear communication
  • Complete all required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with Micron and Technology & Products Group (TPG) safety policies
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to build enhanced budget analytics (TPG Operations, budget teams, Process and Equipment Development, Finance and Procurement teams)
  • Provide regular status updates to TPG Leadership
  • Present budgets P2P and outputs
  • Recommend innovative ways to improve data analytics and front-end summaries to aid decision making
  • Design and coordinate projects with several different departments
  • Create timelines with milestones for complex tasks and projects
  • Minimize duplication through effective planning
  • Adjust plans based on execution to milestones and factors in capabilities when setting plans
