We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced Human Resources professional to join us as Sr. HR Manager—a role that’s more than just a job. You’ll play a key role in fostering strong labor relations, supporting growth and development, and driving strategies that make a real difference every day. Position Summary: This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the HR functions of two paper/tissue mills and corporate managing recruitment, compliance, employee engagement, employee relations and staff development.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Human Resource Management preferred
  • 3-5 years working in a manufacturing multi location setting preferred
  • Experience with contract resolution and labor laws
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and detail oriented
  • Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Ability to travel 10%

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing process including recruiting, hiring and onboarding for hourly and salaried staff
  • Investigate employee relation claims and bring to resolution
  • Track attendance, vacation, turnover and assist in payroll functions
  • Ensure legal compliance with federal and state leave of absence requirements
  • Identifying and coaching employees on developmental opportunities
  • Lead and join cross functional teams for special projects for employee engagement and retention
  • Manage union contract and employee grievances
  • Identify areas of improvement with mill leadership and create policies/procedures
