About The Position

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As Sr. Human Resources Generalist , you will handle day-to-day operational support at the Franklin, MA facility and provide support to Corporate Functions. Your work will be in a variety of HR areas including employee relations, leave management, performance management, staffing, talent & culture development, communications and employee engagement. In this important role, you will serve as the key HR point of contact, and you will also be a vital member of the MKS HR team. You will report to the Sr. Human Resources Manager. You Will Make an Impact: Be a trusted advisor to leadership and the management team, by providing candid and unbiased counsel to create an interactive partnership, and by building trust and credibility to influence talent, organization, engagement and leadership decisions. Interact with employees and managers to address employee relations proactively and in response to problems that arise. Conduct interviews, inquiries, investigations, exit interviews, and focus groups. Facilitate excellence in workplace culture and communications practices. Perform processes such as onboarding, orientation, immigration support, unemployment claims, benefits support, and leave of absence management. Maintain accurate documentation and employee records. Partner with HR colleagues to leverage global programs and ensure successful implementation. Serve as the liaison for the site employee population ensuring that a high-quality level of service is provided. Participate in and/or lead projects. Use a systematic approach to identify and act on opportunities for leader and management development. Facilitate development plans and actions for key talent. Leverage COE to identify and implement training and development programs. Ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements. Facilitate completion of required compliance training. Leverage Workday system, Engagement Survey Data, and manual tracking to assess talent metrics, communicate trends, and implement actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of related HR experience
  • HR experience working in a manufacturing facility.
  • An organized, results-oriented approach and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws related to employment and ability to interpret and apply applicable laws and regulations.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) strongly desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher education or HR certification.
  • Experience with Workday HRIS.
  • Demonstrated partnering with COEs, across functions, and in a matrixed organization
  • Ability in areas such as coaching, conflict resolution, team building, influencing, facilitation, training, data reporting & analysis, presentation, process development, problem-solving.
