Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: BS/BA from four-year college or university preferred. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required 5+ years of financial analyst experience. Advanced proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting software and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and Analyzes Operational Reports – Prepares daily, monthly, and quarterly operational reports while analyzing trends and key indicators. Meets with administrators and operational leaders to show analytics and explain key indicators. Provide insight and recommendations for cost-saving procedural changes
  • Prepares and Analyzes Financial Reports - Prepares and organizes financial materials and briefs content of material prior to the meeting. Identifies concerns and trends in preparation for the meeting. Analyzes revenue requirement and analyzes standard cost and margin reporting and analysis. Creates and maintains reports and queries used within financial services and across the company. Helps with contact for custom report requests.
  • Assists with Communication and Department Requests - Ensures requests from the Senior Vice President of Financial Services, Chief Financial Officer and Directors of FP&A for action and information are furnished in an accurate and timely manner. Assists with all financial service’s activities related to requests for proposals (RFPs). Serves as the liaison between Behavioral Health Operations and the Director of FP&A. Serves as the primary interface with the Information Technology team on behalf of the financial services team to obtain support to implement process improvements, support financial systems and obtain required tools and systems.
  • Assists with Company and Department Budgets - Performs Budget Analysis and Development for Non-UCR, Behavioral Health, and IDD locations. Prepare annual and quarterly budgets in support of operational objectives.
  • Performs Financial Responsibilities- Gathers, analyzes and organizes financial information to identify trends and communicates the findings to the appropriate person. Keeps current on innovative and effective ways to collect and present information. Assists with monthly financial calls. Participates in meetings, takes notes and follows up as required. Manages the development of systems used for financial service functions. Secures appropriate signatures on contracts and tracks the approval process. Maintains reporting integrity of revenue and standard cost data in the finance data warehouse. Performs special projects as required/requested.
