About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic partner within the Finance department, delivering rigorous financial analysis and actionable insights that guide executive decision making across the organization. This role leads the development and maintenance of monthly, annual, and long range forecasts; coordinates the annual operating and capital budgets; and presents detailed variance analyses to the Financial Statement Review Committee. The analyst prepares sophisticated financial models, ROI evaluations, and data driven reports that assess both gaming and non gaming performance, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions to complex business challenges. Responsibilities also include supporting loan compliance and banking requirements, maintaining the financial data warehouse and budget accounts, reviewing accounting transactions during month end close, and facilitating financial performance meetings with department leaders. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst collaborates closely with casino management on high impact projects and may assume FP&A leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Finance Director, making this an ideal opportunity for a high caliber finance professional who thrives in a fast paced, analytically driven environment. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Knowledge of accounting principles, audit procedures, casino policies, financial modeling, analytical reporting, and ROI evaluation methodologies Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis functions Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, database applications, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems Ability to develop and interpret financial models, forecasts, and performance analyses Skilled in preparing clear, concise financial and statistical reports for executive audiences Ability to create charts, graphs, and other visual tools that translate complex data into actionable insights Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate and evaluate return on investment Ability to organize and structure large data sets for accuracy, clarity, and rapid interpretation Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to leadership Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate files, records, and correspondence

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a similar financial analyst role
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, audit procedures, casino policies, financial modeling, analytical reporting, and ROI evaluation methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis functions
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, database applications, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Ability to develop and interpret financial models, forecasts, and performance analyses
  • Skilled in preparing clear, concise financial and statistical reports for executive audiences

  • All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
