About The Position

Essential Functions Responsible for creating, designing, and maintaining analytics for JACK Entertainment properties Ability to communicate complex ideas to co-workers and internal clients. Must be able to work on numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of development. Must be able to work in a deadline-oriented environment, regularly meet/exceed service level agreement requirements, and provide excellent internal customer service. Ensure analyses are thoughtful, insightful, and professionally structured. Effectively present findings and recommendations to Executive Leaders. Facilitate execution and maintenance of regular property reports and analyses. Work with property and Home Office finance teams to forecast revenue and EBITDA. Develop property and departmental annual budgets, including capital budgets and other capital requests. Help develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive operating and financial performance in all marketing, gaming operations, and non-gaming operations. Review statistical data and financial information to determine trends and impact on gaming and non-gaming operations. Applies scheduling knowledge to create and publish schedules that match business volumes as determined by KPI’s, as well as marketing and external event programming. Holds property operators responsible for agreed upon, measurable objectives Integrate property input into reports and analyses produced by the central team Serve as the property expert on all profit and loss statement detail across all departments and fully understand how those statements evolve depending on changes in the business Work directly with the property General Manager as their facilitator of all financial reporting and analysis Maintain an upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy, and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Perform ad-hoc analyses and other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Excel functions and advanced Excel skills
  • High standard for work quality, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of basic finance and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours)
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts
  • Respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain a Gaming Occupational license with the State of Ohio
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain an Ohio Lottery License with the State of Ohio

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for data analysis and manipulation preferred but not required
  • Two (2) years of related experience in financial analysis, marketing, and operational analysis preferred but not required
  • Gaming industry experience preferred but not required
