The Senior Finance Manager will serve as a lead FP&A partner supporting Network Engineering, providing financial leadership across capital investment, cost structure, and long-range planning. This role is accountable for delivering high-quality forecasts, advanced financial insights, and decision support that enable efficient network design, deployment, and performance. This position goes beyond reporting and variance analysis. The SFM is expected to shape investment decisions, frame tradeoffs, and influence senior Network Engineering and Finance leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, analytics, or financial leadership roles
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders through data-driven insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP/BPC, Hyperion, or similar tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Network Engineering or capital-intensive engineering organizations
  • Network or Network FP&A experience, including leasing economics, network cost structures, and capital efficiency
  • Experience applying advanced analytics or AI/ML techniques to forecasting, modeling, or decision support
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MS Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or similar
  • Proven track record as a strategic finance partner, not just a reporting role

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end FP&A support for Network Engineering, including capital planning, operating expense forecasting, and long-range outlooks
  • Own the financial narrative for supported engineering organizations—clearly explain performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and implications
  • Translate network engineering strategies, deployment plans, and technology initiatives into clear financial insights and investment tradeoffs
  • Lead scenario, sensitivity, and business case analysis to support prioritization of network investments
  • Develop, refine, and oversee KPIs and financial metrics that connect engineering execution to financial outcomes
  • Partner closely with Network Engineering leadership to support decision forums, investment reviews, and executive presentations
  • Proactively identify opportunities for capital efficiency, cost optimization, and improved forecasting accuracy
  • Ensure financial plans align with corporate policies, controls, and governance requirements
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Finance Managers and analysts supporting Network Engineering FP&A
