Raytheon is seeking an accomplished Senior Field Engineer with strong Network and electronics skills to join our Field Engineering organization, supporting the Zumwalt program. As a Senior Field Engineer, you will apply your electronics experience in system installation, configuration, activation, stage testing, and advanced troubleshooting for all Raytheon and non-Raytheon equipment supporting the Total Ship Computing Environment Infrastructure (TSCEi) of the U.S. Navy's ZUMWALT Combat System (ZCS) network. This position is based in Honolulu, HI, with exciting opportunities to conduct shipboard testing during ship system activations, tests, and at-sea periods. Position Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with software / network systems, hardware / software integration, or system activation and test, including hands-on experience working with electrical and computer systems design, integration, and test in either a lab or field setting.
• Experience conducting testing & integration in a shipboard environment.
• Experience supporting Navy C4I Systems and/or Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) MK57 or MK41.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated track record of completed integration events.
• Prior experience working with Military and Commercial Marine control systems.
• Experience with test procedure development and test conduct.
• Computer, Network and Fiber Optic Certifications.
• Information System Networks experience.
• Knowledge of CISCO CCNA, Red Hat OS, and Fiber Optics are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Link 16 and CEC Systems.
• Certified Cardholder for MK57 or MK41 systems.
• Prior experience working aboard U.S. Naval ships.
• Familiarity with Zumwalt Ship networks and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Sr. Electronics Technician supporting the Shipboard Test Team, working with diverse stakeholders, including the TSCE Lead, Systems Integration and System Test Management, Navy Agencies, Navy Labs, Zumwalt Prime Contractors, and key vendors.
• Network installations and maintenance with knowledge of CISCO Systems (routers, switches, Call Administration servers.
• Software installations and maintenance with knowledge of Linux / Unix operating systems on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Support the Ship's External Communications System (EXCOMMs) and C4I installation, integration and troubleshooting.
• Ensure the upkeep and functionality of the Ship’s tactical network(s) and systems.
• Upkeep and installation of the TSCEI (Total Ship Computing Environment Infrastructure) software aboard Zumwalt Class vessels.
• Work collaboratively with a team of highly skilled Software and Network Technician and Engineers.
• Provide regular internal status reports to the TSCEi Team.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Engineering and customer representatives.
• Provide underway system support for at sea test events.
• Perform normal climbing and lifting associated industrial and shipboard electronic work.
