This position is to fill an immediate need in the Component And Material Evaluation Lab (CAMEL) supporting passive components testing and Failure analysis.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits

Nice To Haves

  • CET certification
  • Ability to develop test programs to automate testing and collection of test data.
  • Experience designing and building test fixtures.
  • Experience with 3-D printing.
  • Experience debugging and testing at the component level and knowledge in the use of applicable test equipment such as Impedance Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, and Power Supplies.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

  • Apply electronic and mechanical theory to test components for electrical, mechanical, and environmental characteristics.
  • Support Passive Components and Magnetics commodities, with possible cross-training in semiconductors, RF devices, or failure analysis.
  • Interpret Collins specifications, vendor datasheets, and Mil-Standards.
  • Define test setups, build fixtures, generate programs for automated testing, create detailed documentation, and produce test summaries.
  • Characterize magnetic devices, capacitors, switches, relays, resistors, and other components using test equipment including LCR bridges and network analyzers.
  • Communicate test results, resolve vendor correlation issues, and recommend solutions.
