The Facilities Engineer's responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following: Design, implement, and maintain facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute facility-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines. Oversee maintenance contracts and vendor relationships to ensure service reliability and cost-effectiveness. Monitor energy usage and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. Performing technical and economic analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management. Assessing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies Work on energy optimization frameworks and strategies for multiple scales of projects, while also completing engineering studies Contributing to projects on green building technology and ratings systems, primarily the LEED rating tool. Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and safety codes. Prepare detailed reports and documentation regarding facility operations, maintenance activities, and project statuses for stakeholders.
