About The Position

The Senior Executive Compensation Consultant plays a pivotal strategic role in shaping and sustaining the executive compensation framework within a public-company setting. This position is responsible for establishing governance structures, driving disciplined planning cycles, and ensuring regulatory readiness across key compensation processes. By designing robust models, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with disclosure requirements, the Consultant enables informed, defensible, and forward-looking executive pay decisions. The role ensures that compensation practices are transparent, scalable, and aligned with corporate strategy, supporting long-term governance excellence and stakeholder confidence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of total compensation experience, with 7+ years specifically in executive compensation within a public-company environment.
  • Deep understanding of executive compensation governance, regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, NYSE/NASDAQ), and annual reporting cycles.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives and board committees in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex modeling, scenario analysis, and data validation techniques.
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing and delivering structured, data-driven insights across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and attention to detail when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the annual executive compensation operating model, including planning cadence for Compensation Committee meetings and key regulatory filing milestones.
  • Develop high-quality presentation materials, tracking tools, and deliverables in coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Lead the preparation of materials for shareholder engagement initiatives, focusing on executive compensation topics and governance narratives.
  • Design and maintain standardized decision frameworks, templates, and documentation to ensure consistency, defensibility, and audit readiness.
  • Track and manage key decisions, action items, and approvals to ensure governance continuity and accountability.
  • Build and maintain dynamic Excel-based models to support pay decisions, scenario planning, and equity budgeting.
  • Establish and oversee equity guidelines and compensation budget parameters aligned with business strategy and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance in public filings (e.g., proxy statements, CD&A, 10-K, 8-K).
  • Proactively monitor evolving regulatory, governance, and disclosure requirements and prepare timely responses and analyses.
  • Ensure all compensation processes are well-documented, repeatable, and scalable to support organizational growth.
