About The Position

Ultium Cells Overview: Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Understanding of Production and Processing equipment
0 to 3 Years Industrial Maintenance Experience preferred
Direct, coordinate, lead and mentor the activities of team members.
Plan, establish and assign work schedules, assignments, and work orders to ensure department goals are met.
Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for facility equipment.
Facilitate team member development and growth by reviewing and managing performance through feedback and coaching as well as documentation.
Enforce safety and other applicable rules and regulations. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Document and follow up on SOP’s.
Maintain related records, logs, and paperwork.
Ensuring all team members are utilizing time effectively.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Observe work and monitor completion of tasks and work orders.
Confer with management, peers and others to resolve team member’s problems, complaints, or grievances.
Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, specifications, blueprints, and job orders for team members.
Coordinate Work Orders, Production, Vendors & Contractors.
A general academic education and the ability to understand moderately complex instructions, schedules, reports, equipment, etc.Lead and foster a culture that values innovation, personal ownership and overall Ultium Cells values, through an outcome based approach without compromising safety.
Strong motivation and a level of urgency in going about daily tasks

Industrial Maintenance Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Performs responsibilities of conducting corrective and preventive maintenance of production equipment and their controls to ensure operation of machinery
Communicates directly with the production department to coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work in production areas
Prepares and manages periodic preventive maintenance schedule
Technician is responsible for keeping the records of all preventive maintenance and troubleshooting works
Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues
Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment following all safety requirements
Prepares and maintains maintenance related documents; daily report and check sheet
Other equipment maintenance and repair tasks as assigned
