About The Position

The Senior Electronic Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, operating and repairing Surface Trainers on our Norfolk team. The Sr. Electronic Maintenance Technician will: Provide hardware and software support, which includes computer system, electrical system, and mechanical system repair and modifications. Provide logistical support for modification, repair, and installation. Provide networking support to include diagnosing, modification, repair, and installation. Assist with the development and testing of various training systems. Provide contract related support for the In Service Engineering Office including ordering and management of equipment stock/supply, contract logistics and documentation.

Requirements

  • MUST have an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
  • At a minimum, must be a graduate of an accredited technical or computer school, with related training classes. May substitute additional 4 years of relevant work experience for education requirement.
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronics equipment, large computers, mini-computers, or microprocessors – including those in a networked environment.
  • Must have an IAT Level II Certification or higher or obtain one within 6 months of hire.
