JOB SUMMARY: Provide plant-wide support of Electronics Systems to maintain, improve, and create production equipment.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in electronics or electrical engineering. BSEE preferred
  • Ten years in field experience
  • Electrical, electronic, and component instrumentation competence
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • PLC/PC programming experience
  • Familiarity with PC hardware and software
  • Cameras/ Robots

Responsibilities

  • Assist control systems designers as required to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Construct equipment and associated controls in a professional manner
  • Aid, as needed, to ensure existing equipment maintains “up time”
  • Maintain documentation of controls projects, including PLC programs
  • Evaluate new technology and implement where justified for technical and or cost reduction reasons
  • Provide timely support of existing equipment, when needed, to maintain production
  • Participate in team meetings/design reviews, giving knowledgeable advice to the team
  • Achieve goals set by the team to meet the set schedule through-out the project life
  • Prepare wiring diagrams using design software tools
  • Prepare machine documentation, including Theory of Operation and Electrical Schematics
  • Install and set-up instrumentation for initial use
  • Perform purchasing, inventory, and associated duties in support of routine department activities
  • Provide training to other technicians in areas of PLC/PC implementation
  • Assist in preparing Maintenance Manuals for new and existing equipment
