Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in [add major] or related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
  • or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 7–10+ years hands‑on EDI/B2B integration experience in distribution, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Deep expertise in ANSI X12 and strong familiarity with EDIFACT; proven delivery of high‑volume 850/855/856/810/846 and warehouse documents 940/945.
  • Experience with modern integration platforms, ideally Infor ION (or comparable ESB/iPaaS such as Boomi, MuleSoft) and SPS Commerce (or similar EDI networks).
  • Strong ERP/WMS integration background, preferably Infor M3 and Infor WMS (or SAP/Oracle/Dynamics as equivalents).
  • Proficiency with AS2, SFTP, VAN connectivity, certificates, encryption, and partner testing/certification cycles.
  • Solid understanding of order‑to‑cash and procure‑to‑pay processes, inventory flows, and carrier integrations.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in auto/industrial parts distribution or eCommerce order flows.
  • Exposure to barcode/labeling standards (GS1, SSCC‑18), UCC‑128, and carrier portals.
  • Familiarity with AP/AR automation (e‑invoicing networks, remittance 820), claims/returns workflows, and cash‑application integration.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration patterns, message queuing, and event streaming.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the EDI and B2B integration roadmap, aligned to enterprise architecture and the operational transformation program (Infor M3/WMS, ION, PIM/MDM, Power BI).
  • Establish and enforce mapping standards, naming conventions, versioning, and documentation for all transactions and integration assets.
  • Recommend when to use AS2, SFTP, VAN, APIs, or managed services (e.g., SPSCommerce) based on security, cost, and partner capabilities.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of new trading partners and transactions: requirements, mapping, transformation, testing, certification, and go‑live.
  • Design and build canonical maps for ANSI X12 (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 846, 940/945, 997/999, 820/824), EDIFACT equivalents, and logistics documents (e.g., 204/214, carrier labels/SSCC).
  • Integrate EDI with Infor M3 (orders, pricing, ATP, invoicing), Infor WMS (ship confirmations, inventory), and Infor ION workflows/alerts; coordinate with PIM/MDM for master‑data readiness and our legacy AS400 ERP system.
  • Create robust error handling and exception management (alerts, retry logic, and reconciliation reports).
  • Own partner enablement, capability discovery, connection setup, envelope parameters, map certification, and SLA sign‑off.
  • Drive standardization of partner guidelines to reduce custom mappings and maintenance overhead.
  • Maintain an authoritative trading‑partner catalog (contacts, specs, test cases, change logs).
  • Monitor EDI traffic, acknowledgements (997/999), and message latency; investigate and resolve failures with urgency.
  • Build and publish daily EDI health dashboards and weekly performance metrics (volumes, success rates, cycle time, error rates).
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes for systemic issues (mapping defects, master‑data gaps, scheduling conflicts, carrier cut‑offs).
  • Ensure audit readiness for order, invoice, and cash‑application integrations.
  • Enforce security standards (TLS, certificate management, key rotation) for AS2/SFTP; manage VAN contracts where applicable.
  • Maintain change‑control discipline across development, test, and production with complete mapping version history.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics to ensure EDI events feed Power BI models for operational and financial reporting.
  • Communicate clearly with non‑technical stakeholders; translate EDI impacts into business outcomes (e.g., DSO improvement, error‑driven credit reduction, OTIF lift).
