CoreCivic is looking for a Senior Director of Workforce Management (WFM) to lead our facility WFM team at our corporate HQ in Nashville, TN. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Brentwood, TN. The Senior Director, Workforce Management provides strategic direction and leadership for all functional areas within the Workforce Management (WFM) department and is responsible to initiate, implement and effectively manage advanced workforce planning and optimization across all business units and facilities. Manages a team responsible for the research and analysis of workforce management practices, and provides recommendations for process improvements and new technologies related to staff deployment and schedules to maximize operational efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The successful applicant should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements. Develops, supports and drives strategic objectives of the company's workforce management program to align with business unit needs and company goals. Manages the WFM department tasked with providing reviews and recommendations for process improvements related to staff deployment and schedules, analyses related to workforce management concerns and issues, and ad-hoc and standard reporting. Supervises support staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy. This includes but is not limited to: training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance appraisals, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules for staff and approving leave requests. Routinely reviews staff payroll documents and use of overtime. Responsible for the oversight of contract compliance related to staffing and scheduling requirements. Provides reviews and feedback in areas of potential risks and threats taking appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures. Forms effective partnerships with facility management, business unit leadership and support areas to understand and address workforce management issues. Manages the development and maintenance of staffing patterns for existing facilities, including expansion and/or mission changes, and new business opportunities working with the Real Estate department as needed to provide efficient facility designs in terms of resource management. Manages the Operational Budget Management Process including flex budgets and off-cycle reviews by reviewing staffing patterns, relief factors and population changes to evaluate budgetary impacts. Identifies opportunities to enhance staffing and scheduling efficiency and to increase effectiveness in response to changing business needs.Initiates and implements enhanced workforce management practices. Conducts on-going analysis of relief factors; collects, analyzes and monitors workforce management metrics; and develops and distributes monthly reports as appropriate. Identifies technology needs related to areas of responsibility; initiates and implements industry technology and process improvement initiatives. Participates in the selection, development and implementation of workforce management systems as well as the ownership of their configuration and utilization from a business perspective. Conducts time and motion studies to establish standards for operational processes. Develops and delivers workforce management training materials and curriculum to appropriate FSC and facility personnel. Conducts and attends meetings, promotes communications and the proper flow of relevant information between the FSC, facilities, partners and external parties. Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
