About The Position

The Senior Director, Women’s & Children’s Services is a key operational leader responsible for the oversight, performance and strategic alignment of Women’s & Children’s service line across Luminis Health. The role ensures delivery of high quality, cost effective, patient-focused care and drives service line growth and transformation. The Senior Director provides executive leadership for operations, workforce management, quality and financial performance. This position partners closely with the System Chair and Medical Directors for Women’s Services to implement efficient operational workflows, advance strategic initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of LHCE, the Senior Director is responsible vertically and horizontally integrating Women’s & Children’s operations across the health system. Given Luminis Health’s matrixed environment, success requires strong partnership, alignment and executive across multiple operational and clinical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Graduate Degree in Business, Finance, Medical/Health Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive leadership and management experience, with in-depth knowledge of physician practice management.
  • Demonstrated high motivation, performance orientation and results driven leadership.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for operational, financial and strategic performance of Women’s & Children’s Services, ensuring alignment with Luminis Health’s mission, vision and goals.
  • Partner with physicians and administrative leaders to develop and implement growth strategies, workforce plans and care delivery models that meet community needs.
  • Establish appropriate practice standards, service expectations and productivity targets; ensure efficient utilization of human, financial and material resources.
  • Lead the implementation of new programs and services that support contemporary and innovative patient care models
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation efforts; utilize root cause analysis to investigate risk issues and improve safety.
  • Build and sustain infrastructure for continuous improvement; monitor performance, identify trends and engage teams to optimize patient, physician and staff experience.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and leaders to apply industry-leading workforce practices; oversee staffing adequacy, retention strategies and recruitment initiatives.
  • Implement effective management systems that support collaborative, data-driven and consensus-based decision making across disciplines.
  • Participates as a full member of the operational executive leadership team and contribute to system level strategy development and execution.
  • Foster a culture of professional growth and development through succession planning, leadership development and execution.
  • Ensure integration of care delivery processes across operational departments to reduce variability, inefficiency and safety risks.
  • Provide clinical and administrative leadership for expansion planning, renovations, new programs and capital investment priorities.
