About The Position

Servier in the U.S. is a Boston-based, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company launched by Servier Group in 2018. The Senior Director, Product and Pipeline Communications will lead Servier’s U.S. Oncology product and pipeline communications strategy, educating key audiences on the value of Servier’s portfolio and the promise of its pipeline, while strengthening the company’s reputation and visibility in the U.S. As a member of the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team, this role sets and leads the product and pipeline communications strategy, integrating internal and external narratives. The role manages direct reports and leads a Boston-based team to deliver consistent, high-impact messaging aligned with global company objectives. The Senior Director serves as a senior communications partner to internal stakeholders and engages regularly with external audiences, including key opinion leaders and current and prospective partners. The Senior Director is a member of the Enterprise’s In-Line Committee. The role reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required. Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience driving communication strategies
  • Healthcare product and pipeline experience required. Robust experience in driving communications at mid-size global company preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with companies working across geographies; solid understanding of corporate governance
  • Ability to effectively and concisely deliver information, and explain, advocate and negotiate positions and issues to a broad spectrum of individuals required
  • Solid understanding on the regulatory restrictions of biopharmaceuticals promotion
  • Well balanced competencies between strategic and operational matters; experience in advising senior executives and working on strategic topics and issues management
  • Team leader and team player, interfacing smoothly with communication colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration across highly matrixed, global organizations
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) with outstanding writing and presentation skills
  • Understanding and good command of digitalization of communications
  • At ease in multi-tasking with high degree of quality and fast delivery

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of end-to-end strategic communications for Oncology and Neurology products and pipeline across the asset lifecycle, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases
  • Defines and drives differentiated product and pipeline narratives that clearly articulate scientific value, unmet need, and patient impact
  • Leads communications strategy for key scientific and clinical milestones, including data readouts, congresses, and regulatory events, ensuring accuracy and appropriate distinction between promotional and non-promotional contexts
  • Develops and sustains a strong, positive news flow across digital, print, and social channels
  • Establishes and leads robust review and approval processes in partnership with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance, ensuring adherence to safety, fair balance, and regulatory requirements
  • Manages budget, programs, consultants, deliverables, and performance measurement
  • Partners closely with Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Patient Affairs to deliver integrated, aligned communications
  • Leads communications during issues and crisis situations related to products or pipeline
  • Applies AI-enabled insights and analytics to inform product and pipeline communications strategy, optimize channel mix and messaging effectiveness, and support faster, better-informed decision-making in a regulated environment
  • Acts as a strategic business partner, translating complex business and R&D information into clear, credible communications for internal and external audiences
  • Leads, manages, and develops direct reports, fostering high performance, engagement, and deep expertise in oncology pipeline and scientific communications
  • Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen, translating product, pipeline, and R&D progress into communications that support enterprise priorities, partnership objectives, and long-term value creation
