About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for Payments to lead the strategy, performance, and evolution of Springbrook's payments portfolio. This is a strategic, market-facing leadership role responsible for aligning product direction with business outcomes such as revenue growth, attach rate expansion, customer retention, and gross margin improvement. You will define and execute the payments strategy across our portfolio and play a key role in expanding Springbrook's payments ecosystem into adjacent areas and delivering differentiated value through ERP integration. This role requires deep expertise across the payments value chain and experience serving SMB and mid-market customers. This position is available for remote work.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management experience, including leadership roles in payments, fintech, or SaaS
  • Strong experience in market-oriented product management, including competitive analysis, opportunity sizing, and business case development
  • Expertise across the payments value chain, including PayFac or merchant acquiring models
  • Proven ability to tie product strategy to measurable business outcomes (growth, retention, attach rate, margin)
  • Experience leading product teams and driving execution across complex, multi-product environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders across finance, sales, engineering, and operations
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills

  • Experience building and scaling payments products for SMB and mid-market customers

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product strategy for Springbrook's payments portfolio, including Xpress Bill Pay, Next Bill Pay, Civic Pay, QPay, and PathPoint PayFac
  • Evaluate and optimize the portfolio, including rationalization and migration strategies across acquired and legacy platforms
  • Maintain deep understanding of the competitive landscape in GovTech payments and identify opportunities for differentiation and growth
  • Develop data-driven business cases to inform product investments, platform strategy, and prioritization
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Springbrook's payments ecosystem beyond current offerings, including AP payments, disbursements, and embedded financial capabilities
  • Partner cross-functionally to define build, buy, or partner strategies
  • Support development of new monetization opportunities tied to expanded payments capabilities
  • Drive alignment between product strategy, roadmap and key business outcomes, including revenue growth, ERP attach rates, retention, and gross margin
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs across the payments portfolio
  • Partner with finance and leadership to support pricing strategy, forecasting, and ROI analysis
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers, establishing a high-performing and accountable product organization
  • Ensure roadmaps are market-informed, customer-driven, and aligned with strategic priorities
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and delivery teams to execute effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Promote a data-driven, outcome-oriented approach to product development
  • Partner closely with ERP product and UX teams to deliver deeply integrated, seamless payment experiences across Springbrook's platform
  • Identify and drive new product capabilities and embedded payment experiences that increase payments adoption and generate incremental revenue
  • Ensure payments are tightly integrated with core ERP workflows (e.g., billing, receivables, permitting, licensing) to maximize usability and attach rates
  • Define and execute strategies to increase electronic payment adoption among municipalities and utilities, including migration from in-person and mail-in payments
  • Develop product and experience strategies that encourage citizen enrollment in online and digital payment channels
  • Partner with go-to-market teams to drive behavioral change, improve conversion, and increase utilization of digital payments
  • Serve as a senior voice of the customer, ensuring products meet the needs of municipalities, utilities, and SMB/mid-market organizations
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success to drive adoption, positioning, and expansion of payments solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end customer payment and financial experience
  • Apply deep knowledge across the payments value chain (PayFac, acquiring, gateways, processors, risk, compliance, settlement, reconciliation)
  • Inform strategic decisions on how Springbrook participates in and captures value across the ecosystem
  • Monitor regulatory, compliance, and security trends (PCI DSS, NACHA, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement across product processes, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment
  • Maintain awareness of Springbrook security and privacy policies
  • Report any security incident or suspected security incident to the Springbrook Incident Response Team
