About The Position

Reworld is going through an exciting transformational phase. The development of lean cultural transformation is one of the most important pillars of Reworld’s overall transformation plan. Reporting to the President of the Region, the Director, Lean Transformation will be a key member of the region leadership team, with direct influence on the regional performance. You will partner with best-in-class lean practitioners and SME vendors to accelerate lean transformation. This role will have direct report(s) as well as dotted line reporting to the Sr Director, Lean Transformation and work in matrixed team environment, which will provide you with access to the Corporate Lean team. As part of your responsibilities, you will Be responsible for deploying, leading, and coaching lean projects to improve productivity and performance utilizing lean methodologies. Partner with the operating team to help achieve growth and profitability targets Look after VSM, KPIs, Kaizen calendar & action [plan Execute and coach the team on Kaizens projects Support the Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) Owns and co-develops Leader Standard Work (LSW) Develop and establish daily management and standard work across all facilities in the region Other key essential duties and responsibilities include: Leads and collaborates on Lean performance and process improvement projects throughout the organization and mentors leadership toward continuous improvement. Assists teams in prioritizing improvements, making recommendations to functional leaders to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness Change agent responsible for delivering performance excellence through execution of lean initiatives and providing thoughtful coaching of functional standard work and problem solving. Coach leadership in developing and executing lean plans to improve the customer experience areas and metrics. Lead and facilitate teams to produce effective communication regarding Lean processes and measurements consistent with strategic plans. Identify, develop and maintain metrics to measure the success of Lean initiatives Responsible for Lean tools and materials in the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operational Management, Engineering. Business Administration or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Lean tools and leading improvement efforts with extensive facilitation / training experience
  • Past experience with coaching and engaging with senior leadership
  • Experience as an operational team leader
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with key Lean tools: Kaizen, standard work, PDCA / Problem Solving, 5S, Gemba walking, daily management, visual management
  • Business Acumen & Critical Thinking/Problems Solving
  • Ability to communicate with and present to internal and external stakeholders across all levels and functions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to accomplish work without considerable direction
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated mastery of Lean tools and principles through a technical evaluation
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio)
  • Willing and able to travel as needed
