Full Time position. Office for this position is located in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Serves as the liaison to ensure Carilion's best interests and outcomes in partnership with Quest Laboratories. Routinely works with ambulatory and hospital-based committees, physicians, and leaders, to monitor and improve laboratory support. Serves as project manager for lab-related initiatives, including (but not limited to) Lab Information System (LIS) coordination with TSG; quality management programs; and customer service improvement initiatives. Acts as primary resource and subject matter expert for (non-Quest) hospital-based and ambulatory laboratory regulatory oversight. Serves as Project Manager for lab-related projects and initiatives to improve partnership with Quest Laboratories; lab support for physicians; quality and accessibility of care; and patient customer service and satisfaction. (Examples include, but are not limited to, Moderately-Complex Point of Care Testing (POCT), Quanum (Optum electronic edit resolution), GI Pathology Pathway (Carilion/Quest Blue Ridge/DPA). Actively participates in Ambulatory and Hospital-Based Lab Advisory Committees and Quest/Carilion Strategy meetings to inform, discuss, and communicate objectives related to laboratory services “ internal and external. Tracks and regularly monitors metrics (i.e., turnaround times, etc.) to ensure goals related to laboratory services are met. Shares information with stakeholders and rallies resources as appropriate to course-correct when necessary. Interfaces regularly with physicians regarding order sets and related lab initiatives. Works closely with Technology Services Group (TSG) to coordinate and prioritize Lab Information System (LIS) requirements, projects; and upgrades. Provides regulatory oversight for Carilion hospital-based and ambulatory laboratory sites and services, including, but not limited to, enforcement of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) as required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding Quest Patient Service Center issues (i.e., lease execution; planning, use and improvement of space; and customer service initiatives. Provides informed recommendations related to agreements and contracts for laboratory services. Oversees process for intake and consideration of complaints regarding Carilion lab services performed by Quest Laboratories. Provides dedicated support for targeted laboratory initiatives (i.e., research studies, COVID- and other infectious disease-related projects, Occupational Medicine testing, expansion of services, etc.) What We Require: This is Carilion Clinic ...
