The Lab Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing, and has 24/7 oversight and accountability for the overall operation of the Clinical Lab at Troy Regional Medical Center. This person will ensure the affiliated systems, equipment, processes, policies, and procedures are developed and maintained by all current federal, state, and local standards, The Joint Commission, State of Alabama, CMS, and other regulatory bodies requirements. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects with productive outcomes effectively. Assists in staffing when needed and is responsible for personnel issues including employee selection and disciplinary matters, budgetary/financial, unit leadership, and staff development. The Lab Director works with other hospital leaders to create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission, vision and values, and organizational goals.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Technology program.
Must have demonstrated ability to work in all areas of the laboratory and apply laboratory principles effectively.
Must have at least two years of previous clinical lab leadership or management.
